I was at Long's Garden in North Boulder participating in a plein air watercolor class with Jim Pederson when her call came. I waited for a break and then called her back. Her name is Louise and she was calling to find out more about my airbrush makeup artistry and the possibility of hiring me for her TV pilot for her food show. We spoke briefly and she followed through by going on line to www.bouldermakeup.com (to my on line Appointment Desk) where she booked herself with me for a FREE 15 MINUTE CONSULTATION. When she came in I could see that she normally goes "au natural" and I wanted to honor the natural look but also make sure she looked professional.
Louise liked our test run of the makeup and hired me to do her makeup for the day of the shoot. As I understand it, the concept of her show is to illustrate to people how they can eat healthfully while staying on a budget. What a timely topic!
"The makeup held really well for the 8-hour shoot. I was very pleased with the look because I can see from the pics and video that with makeup I present professionally and with mature authority. I think without makeup, I wouldn't have come across as well."Louise
Here is Louise as she typically appears. The second picture is her with professionally applied airbrush makeup for her TV pilot shoot at the local Whole Foods.
